LAGANZ aims to collect, preserve and make available the historical and cultural records of lesbians, gay men and our communities.
LAGANZ (founded in 1977) is a research library and archives which preserves and makes available to the public the accumulated records of the gay and lesbian movements in New Zealand. Housed within the Alexander Turnbull Library in the National Library of NZ it contains photographs, manuscripts, archives, books, periodicals, newspapers and audio and visual materials. Material can be consulted on the premises but there is no lending. LAGANZ is a registered charitable trust.
