We are an inclusive non-auditioned choir that welcomes gay, lesbians, transgendered, intersex and queer people, and anyone else that wants to sing with us. The Glamaphones was formed in 2011 when the Homophones opened to women and became a full Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Base choir. We are an inclusive non-auditioned choir that welcomes gay, lesbians, transgendered, intersex and queer people, and anyone else that wants to sing with us. We have a professional musical director and our gigs have included the opening of Outtakes, the annual AIDS Candlelight Memorial, Out in the Square and our own annual end of year Concert. We welcome new members, everyone who likes to sing, even if only in the shower, and the ability to read music is not essential.
We meet weekly on Thursday evenings at St Andrews on the Terrace on The Terrace for a two hour practice. We have about 45 members and anyone interested is welcome to make contact by e-mail.
