I am registered with the New Zealand Psychologists’ Board and with the Psychotherapists Board of Aotearoa New Zealand.
I have a PG Dip in Adult Psychotherapy from ANZAP Sydney Australia, a PG Dip and MA (Hons) Psychology, Canterbury University, New Zealand. I hold professional membership with New Zealand Psychological Society. I am a clinical member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists.
I use the Conversational Model of Psychotherapy because it restores a sense of personal identity and wellbeing and a very strong evidence base supports its effectiveness: ‘It is one of the best validated of all currently employed psychotherapies.’
I do long term (2years+) work with adults who experience trauma, dissociation, interrupted attachment, difficulties in affect regulation and gaps in memory and the subsequent:
- Issues that don’t seem to ‘shift '
- Issues that re-occur, especially around relationships
- Issues around anxiety, self esteem, depression
I have significant cross-cultural experience.
I use a safe caring approach. As we work together we find new ways forward out of seemingly hopeless places.
Long term (2yrs+) therapy.
